A Modern Slaughterhouse Enhances Hygiene and Community Wellbeing in Batagarawa

As part of LHI's commitment to strengthening community infrastructure and public health, a modern slaughterhouse was reconstructed beside the Gidan Arziki Farmers Service Hub to serve Batagarawa and surrounding communities.

The facility provides a safe, hygienic and well-regulated environment for meat processing during celebrations, cultural events and everyday use. It features proper drainage, washable surfaces and clearly designated processing areas that support sanitation and food safety.

Community members have embraced the facility during social gatherings and festive periods. Local leaders describe it as a timely and practical addition to the hub that brings dignity to food preparation while reducing environmental waste and contamination.
