Hope Restored Through Care in Shagari

In Shagari LGA of Sokoto State, a young breastfeeding mother faced fear and uncertainty as her twin babies repeatedly fell ill.

The situation changed when Life Helpers Initiative, through ACE3 programming, reached her community with testing, counselling and care services delivered with dignity and compassion. Through community-based testing she learned her HIV status and was immediately linked to care and treatment.

With continued support and follow-up, her health steadily improved, and her twins received the care they needed to grow stronger.

Today the family is thriving. The story reflects the power of timely intervention, community trust and compassionate care in restoring dignity and saving lives.
